- does anybody really know? - learning to fly without wings playing on my own heart strings trusted another player for a while thinking of her makes it hard to smile for she got caught up in the strings then ran away breaking the strings and now I repair my heart and play on only some optimism is gone learning to fly on my own know I've always been alone trusted another to share my heart feeling now tends to just tear me apart for she took everything and ran away it just got too much for her one day and now I do my best to pay the cost only some hope and faith is lost I truly believed in the words she said the promises she made while in my bed the hope and the faith she placed in my head it still lives and breathes but it feels so dead she wouldn't live up to her intentions pretending she couldn't get past apprehensions she just did not want to commit to love she's not sure of the dreams she dreams of so I am learning to fly from a fall even though the ground does call I am not ready to give up just yet life has much more to offer than regret and she shall not destroy me with her games I will leave behind the fears and blames and now I do what I must do for me with just a little less fantasy learning to fly out on my own knowing I've always been alone believing I will share love someday taking care of myself along the way learning to fly without wings learning to play on my own heart strings learning to forgive and learning to learn taking my time to take my turn learning that what we have in our hearts is only what we earn learning how to keep warm and how not to burn learning to fly, without wings learning' how to play on my own heart strings learning to forgive and not forget learning how to live and not regret learning I've not learned it all just yet learning to fly, without wings learning to play, on my own heart strings learning to forgive and learning to learn taking my time to take my turn learning how to keep warm and how not to burn learning that what we have in our hearts is only what we earn
